Featured are: Alison Levine, who beat a life-threatening heart condition and became an international mountain climber who led the first U.S. women’s Mount Everest Expedition; Francine Ward, who fell into drug and alcohol use as a teenager, but turned her life around and put herself through law school; and Sheila Hagler, the first member of her family to go to college, who now runs a photography project for at-risk teens in a rural Alabama community devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
