No one succeeds alone. Behind every successful professional is someone who's believed in them, inspired and encouraged them to advance and accomplish their dreams. It takes a village to grow a leader!
Make It Happen: Mentors, Dreams, Success, a new 60-minute program, combines three compelling documentaries, along with a lively forum of men and women who talk about the factors that enabled them to triumph in their lives. The discussions and debates involve people of all ages, backgrounds and stages in their careers.
- The first documentary explores Camp VIP, a Girl Scout initiative that pairs young girls with career women who share stories, encourage achievement and build confidence.
- The second documentary offers viewers a personal, behind-the-scenes look at the lives of two of Xerox Corporation's top female executives. Both women talk candidly about the positive influences they had growing up, and the factors that contributed to their success.
- The final documentary features New York State's former First Lady Matilda Cuomo, who initiated Mentoring USA. This landmark program reaches out to young people at risk, and gives them an opportunity to turn their lives around with the help of mentors.
Make It Happen: Mentors, Dreams, Success stresses the important role that mentors play in developing confidence, instilling wisdom and giving support to those just beginning their career journey, as well as those struggling to move further up the ladder.
